So then do you think Davids could acquire a standard BWV Studio for us to rent from an owner?

No one can book a DVC villa at 12 months. Owners can book their home resort at 11 months. You might be able to put your request in with David's at 12 months. You'd have to check with them. However, if a BWV owner signed on with them at your 12 months, David's is not going to leave them hanging until YOUR 11-month window opens if they have a renter who is already within their 11-month window and also wants to book BWV. David's is going to take the sure thing because they can't tell if your studio is even going to be available when your window opens. It's all about the timing.

David doesn't have any points. He only brokers a deal between an owner and a renter. If no owners with BWV points are available to him to match up with you at 11 months out, you have to wait until he gets someone with BWV points. Plus there may be others ahead of you, too.

The probability depends a lot on what time of year you are looking at. If you want late Winter or Spring (not around Easter) - probably. The Standard View rooms stay open for a while (sometimes months) making it possible for an owner match and booking to happen. If you want Food and Wine through January marathon - very unlikely. The rooms disappear faster than the match can be made - and even if you were to find an owner to rent direct with, that owner might get shut out even at eleven months - people who own BW and use their own points sometimes do not get standard view studios during that time booking at eleven months.
