Has anyone stayed in a studio at the BWVs that had a daybed in addition to the pull out couch? When I requested the studio w/daybed while making our reservations, the CM said it was small. Will it accomodate my 13 yr old DD or did she mean small as in toddler size?

About 5 years ago I booked a Studio with daybed at BWI my brother and sister shared with their family I think the studio had two queen beds and the daybed, and I'm thinking my sister sleep on the daybed. I only went to the room once so I could be wrong about the two beds but your DD should be able to sleep on the daybed with no problem.

The daybed in the BWV studio (actually this is called a "studio plus") is different from the one in the BWI, since BWV studios accommodate 4 guests (plus one child under 3 in the supplied pack-and-play crib) while rooms in the BWI accommodate 5 guests (as do rooms in other deluxe hotels on Disney property). The daybed in the BWV studio plus is not suitable for a 13 year old, even the smallest of 13 year olds. The CM did mean small as in toddler size up to age 5 or 6.

The other difference in bedding between BWV studios and BWI rooms is the fact that BWV studios have a queen bed and a (double size) sleep sofa while BWI rooms usually have two queen beds.

When we get a studio plus at BWV, my DW uses the daybed to hold the packages she collects as she shops her way around the parks ;).

I agree with the above poster, we were in a Studio Plus in December and my daughter, who is 5, could've slept on it but that's probably the extent of it. I certainly can't see my 12 year old nephew, who is close to 5'3", sleeping on it.

The so-called daybed is more like an upholstered luggage rack. Hard, narrow and short. Not a bed by any means.

And they are no longer something that can be requested. They fit in the space where the doorway would be into the adjoining one bedroom if it was a lockoff.

We were just there and my parents had this type of studio. My DD is 10 and there is no way she would fit on this!

Boy is this an eye opener. My DD, although 13, is very petite (4'6")and appears to still be in elementary instead of middle school. Hopefully that will help but we won't count on it.

Besides myself, DH and DD (13), my DS is 17 and he and my daughter are too old to share anything! The BWVs are a quickie fun 3 day add-on prior to our 7 day cruise so we didn't splurge on a larger room. They *are* still taking requests for the daybed as of a few days ago but perhaps that changed.

We'll give it a shot... if it doesn't work... we'll use it to hold our packages like Ralph & Pam!:D
