We have always stayed at our home resort BCV but are trying out BWV. We were put on a wait list for Boardwalk View and just got it.

I know the studios are similar but is there anything we should be aware of (other than the infamous long hallways)? I know my DS 12 will be looking forward to watching the carnies on the Boardwalk.

Is there any unique food we should try there? We have not tried the restaurants along the Boardwalk although we have been to many around WDW.

I like the lock off studios at BCV better because of where the door to the 1 bedroom is. At the BWV it's in the living room, at BCV it's in the hallway as you come in, so there could be more of a "noise from next door" factor at BWV. We have been very lucky because we have often gotten dedicated studios, so it's not an issue. Lucky you! I'm glad you're going to have a BW view...we'll have our first in November!

We've enjoyed breakfast at Spoodles. There used to be a DVC discount, don't know if it still holds. And I had my very first corn dog on Disney's Boardwalk...and I was hooked!!!

We just came back from a BWV boardwalk view studio-- It was great- You will love the view. Depending on where you are the hallways are not that bad. Our first trip we had the Last room but our other trips we were pretty close to the elevator.

It is so much fun to sit out on your balcony and there is a good chance you will be able to see illuminations from your room!!

HAVE FUN!!

Try the Bakery for terrific morning pastry and coffee, and Spoodles has terrific tappas to share.

We like to walk over to the Swan for breakfast. They have a nice buffet and it is much less crowded. I think its called the Garden Grill?

Our stay at BWV included a 2nd floor studio that faced the main pool. We were there during a very warm spell in October. Each afternoon there were pool games which included a CM on a loud speaker, screaming children and also very loud music in between games. Even with the patio doors shut tight, the noise was unbearable. So if you like to rest in the afternoon, you may want a studio that faces away from the pool. After four days of that, the weather turned cooler and the PM pool games stopped. I was very relieved.
