BWV - Standard vs. BWV

I currently have a Standard View One Bedroom Villa reserved at BWV for next November.

I am thinking of switching to BW view, if it is available.

Do you think it is worth the upgrade?

Definitely. Before the guaranteed boardwalk view, I used to book standard to save points instead of gambling on the boardwalk view. Now that it is guaranteed, I can't turn it down!

We always book BW view. But we are not commando park-goers and spend more time enjoying the resort than we did years ago. If you have the points and the BW view is available, I would try it once to see what you think.

We usually save points and stick with standard where available unless we are looking to "wow" guests. I'm not a fan of the BWView myself - its nice, but I'm cheap. However, I'd take the BWView over a Preferred View.

We're kind-of with crisi on this one. We own at BWV, but have yet to go for the BW view. We get to be on the boardwalk and don't feel the need to see it from above. If we don't have a tremendous natural view, we take what is saving us points.

I know many feel the BW view is the best, but for us... we'd rather not look down on people milling around, many of whom are intoxicated. Especially, when I am already intoxicated myself.

Give me a view of nature... that is what I want, or willing to splurge for...

We spend a lot of time on the balcony, so for us it is worth every point and then some. The view is incredible, we have yet to bring guests with us that were not wowed by a boardwalk view villa.

We are here right now in a one bedroom standard view.We are on the fourth floor, midway down. It's peaceful and has an excellent view of the high fireworks from Illuminations. It's an excellent room.

Is it worth the upgrade? To us, no.

I used to be a die hard Boardwalk View gal, but I have seen the light! And we now try and book Standard view when ever we can.

We enjoy watching Valet getting slammed with cars before IlluniNations, and all the people coming and going throughout the day.

Point savings are swell too.

Oh and our guests are WOW'd over standard view too...

I think the specialty views at BWV/AKV/and VB are worth the points - but I'm a balcony-sitter that likes to read & drink a glass of wine.

I am right there with ya Debbie B! Is a wonderful perk to be able to have this view, can't imagine not taking advantage of it!!

Hmmm....go to the world and read!! You are just like my husband!! Thats why we have to have the BW view.....we too are balcony sitters!

You won't know if your one of those for whom its "worth it" until you try and make up your own mind.
