BWV Standard View Rooms all face the driveways, parking lots, and porte cochere. But that doesn't mean a panorama of nothing but asphalt, cars, and buses. The view can also include a pond, lawns, and large trees.
The advantage of a room close to the elevators is that you spend less time walking down long interior hallways. However, it also means more noise from the hallway and it means you're close to the porte cochere, with a stream of cars, Magical Express coaches, taxi cabs, and towncars. The view is less than "magical."
The advantages of a room far from the elevators are: the hallway has less activity (and is thus quieter); the views are better (the lawn is wider and trees can block much of the parking lot); there's quick access to the bus stop using stairs and a walkway along the pond (instead of going through the lobby). The disadvantage is, of course, walking down long interior hallways when going to the elevators.
