BWV standard at 7 months and now a few questions?

Well I was extremely happy this wednesday morning to call and get a boardwalk standard view 1-bedroom for the end of January (called right at 7 months) Yipee! Now that it's booked I have a few questions about room location. I know these rooms have views of parking lots, but I thought I read that some of them have a view of EPCOT? Is that true? Where should I request to get a good view?

Also I heard that all BWV is getting a remodel and will be done by end of January are there any photos yet?

BTW this is our first stay in a 1-bedroom and I am very excited!

There aren't any good views of Epcot and the remodel has changed the outside door color on some units and some different wall paper in the hallways.

Some standard views have a blocked view of some of the higher Illuminations fireworks - you can't see Epcot. Better fireworks views tend to be farthest down the hall and higher up - those are also the least convienent rooms if you don't like stairs or long walks. Many rooms have trees blocking the view as well.

I've stayed in a BWV standard view a few times. I always requested top floor, across from the bus stop. You get a good view of the fireworks, straight ahead is the back of the American Pavillion. In the days of Tapestry of Nations (Dreams) you could hear the music from the parade. Most of the views are actually of the driveway, not the parking lot with a nice pond at the end. There is a stairway near the pond, which makes a quick exit to the bus stop & parking lot.
