BWV - Sofa Beds Being Replaced

I agree I love the design of these fold out sleepers.

I am thinking there may be a paten on them and that they not yet available to public because since my stay at the All Star Family Suites I have been searching both locally and on the Internet and I have found them yet.

But whose the manufacturer of the one's at the All Star Family Suites, or the other DVC locations? I don't think it's American Leather...? I'm sure Disney has an agreement with the company not to sell couches with their fabric (which is the problem I ran into when ordering the American Leather couch like the one at SSR), but I'm sure the manufacturer does not have an agreement to not sell that particular couch at all, but then again, maybe they do?

Does anyone know who MAKES the new couch? Is there a tag or anything that says the maker's name?

We just purchased an American Leather couch which is what they have over at SSR, it is awesome, but it's in our rental property... I need one for my house now :teeth:

I just called and the fold out beds at the Family Suites and the DVC's are made exclusively for Disney.

The public cannot buy them.

Hummm maybe I should have put one in my car when I had the chance. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Just kidding guys!

Thanks to everyone who has tried to help. :wizard:

I copied the name and website off the sofabed when we were there end of Oct. When I looked it up online it turns out that the manufacturer is wholesale only, making the frames only. Too bad.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, it is too bad.

I have an inoperable spinal spinal condition and cannot sleep on most sofa beds.
This design was the very first one I found truly comfortable so this quest was very important to me.

I am sadded to learn they are not avalible to the public. :sad1:

Have fun planning your next trip to Disney! :wizard:

This is very common in the hotel industry. The new mattresses that Disney is putting in the deluxe and DVC resorts are made by Sealy but they are a hotel item only. You can find something similar but not the exact mattress.

Something I was wondering about the new ones at All Star Suites. When you fold it out and it rests on the floor to support the mattress, anyone think that is really going to contribute to them to them getting dirty.

I think they need to change the sleep sofers at SSR. The mattress sits low and the cushions fall in and are very uncomfortable. they were like that from day one, Has anyone had the same problem.

Yes, we had a studio at SSR and my daughter slept on the sofa bed and she complained the whole 5 days. She was upset that we got the comfy bed and she got the hard sofa bed. The nerve of us! :rotfl2:

The part of cusihon that rest on the floor is the back of the sofa or chair.
the seat and back of the sofa that you rest on is facing each other on the inside area So I don't it that is really going to contribute to them to them getting dirty.
