BWV - Sofa Beds Being Replaced

We were there from 10/1 to 10/7 and it looked like they were there every day moving out sofa beds and putting in new ones. It appears that they were also donating the sofa beds to a local charity, there was an ad on the side of the moving trucks to the effect of every child should have a warm bed. Very nice to see.

We did not use our sofa bed, so I cant say how comfortable they were.

We were there 9/30-10/6, stayed in 4121....brand spankin new sofa bed. It had veclor cushions and the pillows were stored in the base. DH layed on it and pronounced it "NOT BAD", DD & DS had no complaints what so ever! The room in general was in great shape...even the king bed seemed better than in the past!

What does the fabric on the new sofas look like? (Is it a floral, a solid, a stripe, and what color are they?)

It was tan (not too light) floral, blue/yellow/mauve larger floral print. It was vey easy to open and close and seemed very sturdy. Definately a much needed improvement!

Did they fold open like the ones in the Family Suites at All Star Music?

If so they are very comfortable.

The seat and back cushions actually support the bed so there are no bars to hurt ones back.

Here is a photo I took of the chair showing how the bed is supported.

They are amazing as I said and quite comfortable.

The BWV coach is much fuller looking! The arms are thicker, the back has 2 cushions which were also much thicker and higher. The seat cushion was also 2 cushions and thicker. The coach still had throw pillows as well. Overall it is a similar design, just looks to be a better quality, I wish we would have taken pictures! But, it was very nice.

Does anyone know who MAKES the new couch? Is there a tag or anything that says the maker's name?

We just purchased an American Leather couch which is what they have over at SSR, it is awesome, but it's in our rental property... I need one for my house now

That design is amazing.

Both the chair and the ottoman open into beds. The chair opens to a twin size bed and the ottoman opens to a “junior” sized bed….about the size of a cot. The bed and the chair are amazing designs. The kids will think they are cool and Disney’s competitors are going to steal this idea. Watch for different versions of this to spring up everywhere.

I got to thinking a little about your description of the fabric on the new sofabeds at BWV, and it sounds like the fabric is the same (or close to the same) as the fabric on the sofabeds in the living room of a BWV 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom. Is it the same?

Please take a look at this thread which I started Have the Sofa beds at BWV been replaced yet? . There are some great pictures plus a link to the manufacturer's web site.

Were you staying in a studio (room 4121)? Are the striped sofabeds in the studios being replaced with the new floral fabric sofabeds?

Still looking for the manufacturer, because that couch isn't from American Leather I don't believe.... we bought a couch like the SSR for our rental property... but we need a couch for our house & this might be a goodd one

I agree I love the design of these fold out sleepers.

I am thinking there may be a paten on them and that they not yet available to public because since my stay at the All Star Family Suites I have been searching both locally and on the Internet and I have found them yet.
