I've seen the boardwalk view pics, but I was only able to get a standard view 1-bedroom. Dazzle me with your pictures of the parking lot! :rotfl2:

Melanie,

I don't have any pics. However, I love standard view. The impact of the cars is really lessened by the greenery and the pond/waterway. Last time we got a room that I couldn't believe was standard. It was right beside that famous corner suite at the end of the hall and had a nice view of the bridge and the pond. Another room I looked directly to the bus stop but once again softened by a tree and the front lawn.

We've always played, soccer and thrown the football, many times out on the front lawn. It's a lovely area.

It's really surprisingly peaceful. Enjoy.

Wow. Thanks Princess V. I had no idea Standard went so far around the corner. Great view.

PrincessV, you made me feel a lot better about our std view. Now I just have to come to terms with the looonnng walk if we get stuck at the end of the hallway. :rotfl:

We essentially had this view in 3085.

I thought it was perfect. It was a dedicated studio, and was relatively close to the elevators. :cloud9:

I LOVE BEING CLOSE TO THE ELEVATORS!!!!

We recently went with friends, and they couldn't understand why I love Disney. I spent all week saying, my feet hurt. :sad1: Let's just say I don't love Disney head to toe, just head to ankles.

no pics, rarely go out on the balcony when it's hot (haven't found a time when it isn't lol) anyways except for my am coffee;)

just saw lots of blue sky while flopped on the bed resting:thumbsup2 , nary a car in sight - mostly rolling green lawn (mine should look so fine).

only standard view?!! :lmao:
imho, standard view at the BWVs is equal to or better than just about any DVC view. the parking lots don't exist in BWV SV land;) . unlike some other resorts, the lots are hidden beyond the waterway, with trees & greenery shielding them from your view. & if you get the coveted end room, the balcony streeeeeeetches from the kitchen french doors, then past 2 more sets of french door in the LR :cloud9: . with a huge, beautiful rolling lawn & bridge to your left, canal & glimpses of TOT to your right (which you can see from the other balcony off the bdrm). :cloud9:
btw, if you don't have little ones in strollers, the rooms far away from the elevators can be great. there are stairways that lead out to the quiet pool, the BW, the swan/dophin end of the BW & the front of the resort (it's like having your own "private" entrance/exit & normally quieter than the elevator area :thumbsup2 ).
imho, there is no such thing as "only" standard view at the BWVs ;)

I will definitely have to try standard view. Those pics convince me. And it has to be far quieter than a BW view. And fewer points!

I know, I shouldn't give away the secret! SV at the BW is the best-the only one we ever book!

The pictures shown so far are great, but don't forget, not all SV rooms have views that good.

I'm guessing only people who had above average Std Views bothered to take pictures. How many are taking pictures of views that aren't so good....:rotfl2:

We've had SV rooms on numerous occassions. Some views are better than others. But for the point difference, and considering how much time we're even in the room, the SV makes sense. We've had BW view and it's very nice, but is a little noisier. If you've never had a BW view, you should do it at least once just for the experience. After that, SV works fine.

robinb, it looks like you had a long walk down that hallway to get to your room!

Oh and here was my "Standard View" studio over NYE. We were given a handicapped room, only 2 doors from the main lobby. It was GREAT!

ETA: This would normally be a Preferred View, but I think we were "upgraded" to it because it was a handicapped unit.
