Does anyone know the answer to these questions? Are any of the 2 bedroom units NOT a lock off? and which, if any, 2 bedrooms have a view of the boardwalk and lagoon area. We don't care about noise, we would just love to sit on our balcony and see that area.:wave2: :wave2:

All of the 2 bedroom units art the BWV are lock offs. There are no dedicated two bedroom units. (However, there are some dedicated studios and some dedicated 1 bedrooms).

Do you have a Boardwalk view unit reserved? If so, it will say Boardwalk View on your confirmation letter.

For those who may not know, there are two separate Preferred View booking categories at the BWV - Boardwalk view and Pool/Garden view. Both cost the same number of points, but you will not get a Boardwalk View if you do not have one specifically reserved.

Boardwalk View rooms are not available to anyone who pays cash - whether that be through CRO/WDWTC or MS.

Here is a link to the Boardwalk Map:

Map of Boardwalk Resort

From the map, you can get an idea of the range of room numbers that include Boardwalk views. But not all in the range will actually have the view as some will be across the hall and have views of the Luna Park Pool or the Croquet Lawn instead.

Enjoy the trip!

I thought I read somewhere before that if you like to sit out & people watch it might be a good idea to request an open balcony.

Is this necessary for a regular Preferred View as well or are the only closed balconies on the BW side.

We have friends exchanging into BWV through Interval Int'l. Can they request from the resort a boardwalk view????

I have never seen the "solid wall" balconies anywhere but on some of the BW view rooms.

Depends what was deposited - the confirmation letter your friends received should indicate if they have a Boardwalk view. Boardwalk view rooms cannot be requested - they are a separate classification.

FWIW, I highly doubt MS deposits anything but Pool/Garden units to II from the BWV - it's rare to see BWV units deposited in the first place. Most deposits for WDW are from SSR and OKW.

I'm sure you'll have a good time no matter what the view from the balcony turns out to be.

"[W]hich, if any, 2 bedrooms have a view of the boardwalk and lagoon area."

If by lagoon you mean Crescent Lake, all the two bedroom boardwalk views look out across the lake toward Yacht/Beach Clubs. If you mean the thing that is actually called the lagoon there which is the channel that runs from Crescent Lake to MGM, then none of boardwalk views over look that; rooms that can overlook that lagoon are part of the preferred pool/garden views.

I had one on the standard view side. I think there are some above the main pool too.

OH, NO! I know others may not mind these but I really dislike them. Do you happen to remember where the sv room was?

I can't remember exactly, between across from the bus stop and the corner. I remember it was a 1 bedroom with one long balcony, I'm pretty sure it was solid, it was definitely enclosed. It was a trip when we had alot of rain and I was glad it was enclosed because I could sit out when it was raining.

When the term 'enclosed' is used does that mean enclosed like a room or just the bottom part of the railing?

The latter. Instead of slats there is solid wood. Probably not a big deal unless you have a BW view and (like me) you want to watch the activity on the BW without standing up.

On the other hand, if you like to sit out there in the early morning with a cup of coffee and still in pajamas, it's perfect!

It can be disappointing with small kids - who now stand on chairs to look over the railing making mommy nervous.
