BWV Room View and Number Maps

Previously on this site, there were excellent BWV room maps, created by Shamus and posted by WebmasterDoc in May 2012. Due to a recent change in the photo system used, those maps disappeared from the DVC Resorts portion of the site, although with some searching through the new Photos section of the site, the maps can be found. This post is designed to put back into the DVC Resorts portion of the site a link to the same eight view maps that now appear in the Photos portion of the Disboards site. Shamus remains the maps' creator and WebmasterDoc the original poster. As to colors, light blue shows dedicated studios, yellow dedicated 1BRs, green 2BR lock-offs, and dark blue GVs. Note that there has, since 2012, been a change to a couple of the low floor rooms in the Luna Park Pool (2) map, which sit behind the Clown section, since DVC changed them to standard view.

I have an upcoming BWV room booked. I thought there was a stairwell somewhere in the middle.
Does anyone know if there are stairs down to the BW and if so, where?

I had it bookmarked for years and used it as recently as last December. It's awesome but it can no longer be accessed so I am glad I came across this thread.

there are quite a few stairwells, throughout the resort, leading to different areas (it's fun trying them all!)
There are two that lead to the Village Green/BW. Note that these are exit only; the door locks behind you.
As you walk toward the elevators/lobby:
- the stairwell door on your left, directly before the elevators/lobby; exits to the ground floor alcove to the right of the lobby balcony stairs
- the stairwell door before x051 (on an angle facing you); exits behind the Screen Door (between ATM & Wyland)
You also have the option of using the elevator, or taking a stairwell that leads to Luna Park, and walking through the breezeway to the BW.

Is it the preview center, it is a Boardwalk View 2 Bed Lockoff? I believe that counts as a declared unit to the association but DVC is allowed to perpetually reserve a unit at all DVC resorts for the purpose of sales as long as they are actively selling the resorts. They "pay" for it from holding unsold points I believe.

Yeah the preview center is on the boardwalk. Not sure why they wouldn’t consider that a boardwalk view when it’s on the boardwalk level. It definitely wouldn’t be considered standard for sure.

It‘s probably pool/garden, identified with PV above. I would verify with who you rented from.

Never stayed at the BW. But I do know that if I ever do, I would like a view of the front lawn of the hotel. Care nothing about looking at the Swan or Dolphin.
