BWV Room Types?

What are the different room types at BWV for 1 and 2 BR? On the Points Chart, there are Standard and Preferred listed. What is the difference? I want to post the accommodations I am searching for but don't really know what that is at this point. Thanks.

There are actually 3 types of views.

Standard - overlooks the front driveway
Preferred Boardwalk view - overlooks the boardwalk*
Preferred Pool/Garden view - overlooks the pools & gardens*

*same preferred point cost

The rooms themselves are the same, regardless of view

The other thing you might want to know is that there aren't very many Standard rooms and they get snapped up pretty fast at the 11 month window by owners because they cost less points. Often renters get frustrated because they think "standard" means the most common room, thus the easiest to get, and don't know why no one responds to their post. For the most success, request "Preferred" rooms, as there are many more of them available.

It's not intuitive, but it's really how things work.

Ditto on Boardwalk View. The majority of rooms at the Boardwalk are Preferred View - and few people "prefer" the preferred view - they like looking at the Boardwalk, or they like the standard view bargain. So that is what tends to be available later.
