We just spent a week in 1113-1115, a 1BR (1115) with a lock-off (1113). Both rooms were in very good condition. Some of the furniture looked brand new, and teh carpeting was very clean.

These are nonsmoking rooms--although the sink in 1115's bathroom had a burn mark on the edge, as if someone had left a cigarette there

They had a view of the higher fireworks in Illuminations. One odd thing to note, 1115 "shares" the patio with 1117, while 1113 is by itself. You'd think that the 1BR and lockoff would share.

There were no problems, very refreshing after having two BCV rooms in a row with issues. A lightbulb that burned out during our stay was quite promptly replaced.

Only two things to note--the dryer seemed to take forever to dry anything, and we had some minor problems with the high speed Internet, nothing major that one call to tech support didn't resolve.

We had a couple of mishaps, and the staff at the BW really came though for us! The day after we arrived in Orlando, we realized that DH had grabbed the wrong pill bottle, and DS had a one day supply of one of his medications. We were unable to get through to the prescribing Dr., but luckily were able to get through to his GP who called in the script to Turner Drugs. Turner filled the Rx and delivered to the BWV. When we checked in, it was waiting t the desk for us. Except it wasn't ours--they had the wrong bottle in the bag! The BWV staff apologized profusely (it wasn't their fault!!) and got it straightened out for us.

Many, many thanks to Melissa in the front office. At about 10:30 on check out day, my BIL discovered a problem with their RV. He and my sister were out trying to pack the RV and determine how to fix the problem, while we were doing the final packing and watching their kids inside. My husband was holding our 14 month old neice (who had been quite ill the night before) when she had an "explosion" all over him. Bad enough that he needed to take a shower, his and baby's clothes needed to be laundered. I called the front desk in a bit of a panic, knowing we wouldn't be ablet o be out by 11:00am. Melissa was gracious and understanding, and gave us an extra hour to get checked out of the 1BR, and told us we could use the studio part for a couple more hours if we needed to. My sister was quite suprised to come back and find her baby dressed and diapered in bath towels (they had taken all the diapers/clothes out to pack them!).

Luckily BIL was able to easily get the RV fixed, and they were able to get on their way later that day after letting the kids run off some steam in the pool. (Not the baby--my sister kept her away from everyone!)

Thanks for the report. Sorry about the end of your trip - I've lived through quite a few of those (car problems and baby disasters).

How did your room share a balcony with another room? Was there a divider there? Also, very interesting to note that you were able to view some of the fireworks from the first floor.

There was no divider between our room and the one next to us. It was just one long patio. We never saw anyone out there. I like first floor in the BWV standard view--the ducks and mockingbirds visit you on your patio, which thrilled the kids. The baby learned to say "bird" by the end of the trip--one of her first words!

Ahh, gotcha. First floor patio - obviously no divider. I am always apprehensive of a first floor room ( I like to have a balcony, I sit out there every day during my daughter's nap, 2 - 3 hours;) )

That's why I was glad to know that you could see some fireworks. The ducks and birds sound great too. My DD would have a ball with them.

I like that location, too.

I think those ducks and other birds were the best part of our 2001 trip. My (at the time) 16 month old nephew was absolutely fascinated by them. First thing he did every morning was run to the patio doors to see if they were there. Not sure what all he was telling them, but he sure chattered up a storm when they appeared. I'll take memories like that over a Boardwalk view anyday!
