BWV room 1094 - renovated?

We just returned from a wonderful stay in a one bedroom at BWV. We were in room 1094, and wondered if it had been renovated. The room was directly behind the keister coaster, by the service path and the lagoon. We are just curious what a renovated room looked like, we haven't stayed at the BWV in a long time. We thought the room was great, very clean and up to date.

Probably the easiest way to tell is by the stove. If it had coil burners, it was not renovated. If it had a glass top it was renovated.

That is the question of the year. Supposedly when the new armoires arrive, the new TVs will be installed. I am becoming suspicious since renovation has been going on for months now.

Hmmm... If they install flat screens, why armoires? Just curious. A flat screen could be mounted on the wall or mounted on top of a dresser or chest. Why purchase new armoires?

It wouldn't work with what they have now.

It is possible that they are replacing the armoires with a different type of drawer furniture, I guess. Then the TV could be mounted above. At any rate, the talk is that the armoire is the issue.

All correct - we were in 1095 across the hall and the entire wing had just been renovated when we checked in 8/20. We were the first in our room since the update. We knew immediately by the fact that all the lamps were unplugged!

We talked to a CM because our DVD player was freezing on some DVDs- (old players, new DVDs, often a problem)

They said there is a room piled high with new TV/DVD players that will fix this, just waiting for new furniture.

Our refrigerator was new, too.

The BWV old furniture was available on the resale market. Based upon the items that I saw listed, all of the furniture was replaced.

A project this large has to cost a lot. Looks like our dues are going up.

The money comes from the reserve fund. Each year some of the dues goes into this fund to pay for future renovations. It's been a long time since a renovation, so there should have been alot of money in the fund. I'm wondering though if they did run out of money, that might be the delay on the armoires and TV's.

I tried to find my copy of the 2009 budget that came in the mail, but no luck. The amount in the fund is listed in there.

Yes, I saw this also!!. Armoires, wall fixtures and even the Boardwalk View Art and lamps with Mickeys on the shade.

Anyone know if they have replaced the bedding (mattresses) in the rehab rooms? Just returned from BWV in a non-rehabbed room and the bed was VERY uncomfortable. Hoping that the newer rooms have better bedding.
