BWV renovations questions

I'm sorry if answers have been posted previously - I tried searching and found some info - but not all.
We'll be home at BWV in January for my son and my sister to run the half marathon (I work out as the cheering section). Whole family is going, and we have a Grand Villa as well as a one bedroom.
Just wondering when the renovations will be completed? If they won't be done by that time, does anyone know if the GV's have been done yet? I've seen posts of one bedrooms (at least certain ones) being done. Are they working one floor at a time? I'm hoping to get both rooms on higher floors if possible. Thanks in advance for any info you may have!

By the way, you know you'll have to take a bus to the start and finish of the race (if your full marathon runner takes more than three hours Epcot will open at 9 that morning so you can walk through Epcot with a ticket).

Yes - we know there will be one VERY early morning for all. We're planning that into our itinerary. I just wish the park hours would be released for January. Planning meals and such with the half marathon thrown in is a bit of a job.

If the GV's are in the tallest section of the BW where the BW sign is, then I think they're working on that section right now. They have scaffolding up on the exterior. They have done the roof and are almost finished painting the exterior. It would make sense if they were renovating those rooms while doing the outside. I'll try to go down the hall towards that section tomorrow and see if they have it blocked off. When we first arrived the hall from the elevators leading to the BW view rooms was closed off (4th floor), but it has since reopened and the hallway has been renovated.
