Does anyone know the refurb schedule for BWVs? This past Jan 2021 we visited RR while staying at BWVs and I have to say after our visit to RR it really made the BW rooms look shabby. I'm just curious when they will be updating the furnishings. TIA :)

also, if they start BWV before doing VWL there will be flaaaaaaaames

Because there is only 1 guy that works in construction in Florida. He works as quickly as he can though.

I always find this funny because I highly doubt DVC actually has construction people on payroll so not sure why they can't just get through these resorts on schedule.

Right? And VWL has been kicked down the road multiple times.

^Sad but true. I told myself after visiting RR and comparing it to BWV, after 20+ years it too (RR) will look a little shabby...

I do tell people that over 50 years, decor will change and not to buy in mostly because you love the decor. Things will happen.

I think the last was around 2015, I think it was a full renovation. A soft goods should be coming up in 2022 or 2023 (supposed to be 7 years).

I really wish they would put in comfortable sofas, we stay for two weeks so we do spend some time in the room and the sofa is always very uncomfortable. The cushions slide out so easily when you sit on them. I wish I could bring my sofa with me...LOL :thumbsup2

Yes, that's the thing. It didn't take long for things like that to start being said about BLT after it was shiny and new and now VGF isn't immune to the comments. In 20 years the comparison of RIV to whatever is new will be the same as BWV to RIV.

BWV was refurbed in 2015 I believe so it should be on the schedule for soft goods in 2022 but as mentioned it wasn't. BCV refurb was done in 2016 after the BWV refurb and it IS on the schedule for 2022. BWV and VWL get little to no love. It really makes no sense. :confused3

That has been our observation ever since those sofas were introduced. We question whether the interior designer(s) responsible have ever actually sat on that sofa for any time at all.

I agree! I’ve said before - I think the designers should have to stay in an accurately built model for a week, along with kids and other people as in normal use, before final approval is given.
