We leave in just 11 days for our first trip as dvc members !!!!

2 nights at BCV then 8 nights at BWV (garden/pool view)

We will have a rental car ... I have heard parking is bad at the boardwalk. What happens if there are no spaces left and you are a resort guest ??

What size are the coffee pots in the studios ??

My dds are 16 and 19 ... Will the pull out be very comfortable ??
Some suggest just bringing an air mattress ... Is that a good idea space wise ??

Thanks :cool1::beach::cool1:

There is usually always parking available, it is simply a question of how close. The main lot can itself be a long walk depending on where you get; if it is full there is a second lot across the street from the resort which is definitely a long walk. The main lot is supposed to be limited to those staying at BWV with the second lot open to anyone. The problem owners sometimes face is that Disney does not always enforce the rule as to the main lot particularly in the evening.

I cannot remember the exact size of the studio coffeepot.

The pull-out bed is OK but it is a pull-out and not a real bed. We find them better than most pull-outs you find in hotels generally but definitely not the comfort of a real bed.

I was there in late April/early May, we did not have any problems finding spaces. There have been times in the past when I've had trouble on a Saturday afternoon, especially if there was a big game that people were watching at ESPN. Weekdays have never been a problem. This time of year you should be fine.

Thanks for the quick replies ...
I do not think we need a car but dh could not say no to $164 for 11 days (Alamo full size.)

I don't think you will have problems parking during your stay. Usually Food and Wine is when it is the worst.

Enjoy and have a great trip. :wave2:

I've always managed a parking spot when staying at BWV and we stay there ALOT. We do tend to avoid the main lot now and park at the lot near the tennis courts. We find cutting through the quiet pool to be a better alternative for us. As for the coffee pot, some studios do have a 4 cup pot, but if you want a bigger one, just call housekeeping and they will bring you the 10-12 cup pot - no problem. We've called several times.

We stay at BWV every year during food and wine and always have found a parking space though it can be a long walk. There is also the valet option at BWV.

If you have an undersized coffee pot you can rerquest a larger one from house keeping. My 28 year old son slep on the pullout for a five day stay and though a little jealous of our bed had no problem.

while parking used to be a problem (with non-resort guests parking in the resort lot), we've noticed a huge difference lately.
the guard at the shack will not allow anyone, except those wishing to valet, to go straight (and watches to make sure they do not make the right turn toward the resort lot). they also closed off the first entrance entirely, and man the second entrance during busy times (the F&WF especially).
we have been able to find close spots easily for the past 2 years or so.

btw, if you have anyone that cannot walk easily, the driver can always drop them off at the lobby "circle", and park the car.
despite some saying that it is a long walk, it has never taken us more than 5 minutes from even the furthest spot to the lobby, walking slowly (the resort is so outstanding, we even enjoy the walk to/from our car:blush:).
enjoy
