Just booked a 2 bedroom for middle June...... :woohoo:

Looking for some things to do at the resort, any suggestions?

I heard you can walk to MGM, how far is it, like a few more steps are going hurt.

What goes on at the Boardwalk in the evening?

Thanks in advance

MGM is 2/3 of a mile from the main pool to the front gate. Just follow the walkway along the canal.

If you have kids, you and they will love Community Hall. Ping Pong, video games, table hockey, etc.... It is right at the quiet pool so it's convenient for adults to sit by the pool and kids to hang out inside CH.

Learn the locations of the stairs and use them at the BWV. They can save you many steps and a lot of time when it comes to going down to the Boardwalk, the pools, the parking areas, the bus and to MGM.

Have fun. The BWV is our favorite.

You can also walk to the mini-golf that's close to Swan/Dolphin. I think it's the Fantasia one. If I remember correctly, it doesn't close until 9 or 10 p.m., and it may be later in the summer.

I'm not sure what goes on in June, but in October (which should have *much less* going on than June) they often have a performer of magic tricks, or a group of singers walking around, or a family-friendly stand-up comedian type person. There are typical Boardwalk type games (like carnival games) to win stuffed animals, and a pin station, and a place to get your hair braided.

You can rent the multi-seat bicycles (I cannot think of the proper term, sorry!) and ride around the lake. You can walk over to the Yacht/Beach resorts and rent motorcraft (though that might be only in the day.)

We pulled up the rocking chairs on the porch at the Boardwalk and watched the fireworks from what we assumed were MK, while listening to the sounds of the Epcot fireworks exploding.

I like to get up early in the morning and rent a regular bike from the community hall and ride around the Boardwalk area. :cool1:

Also, just sitting on the Boardwalk and people watching is fun. This is especially good if you are also eating a slice of super cheesy pizza fromt the Spoodles take out window.

Walk over to the Beach Club and eat at Beaches & Cream or just sit in the warm sand on the beach. Rent the Breathless if it is out of refurbishment.

Play board games in the little bar area between the BWV and BW Inn. (Can't remember the name).

We're taking my brother and wife to BWV for the first time so I put up all kinds of info on my site related to BWV. HERE is the link.
