I'm not a DVC member, but I hope these questions are in the right place. We booked one of the Fairytale Packages for Sept. and are staying in a 1 bedroom at the BWV. The CM on the phone never asked about a view. I was wondering...

1. What types of views are available?
2. Are there different prices associated with the different views? (If so, I guess I have std?)
3. Any suggestions/areas to avoid for our room preferences? (I think we would prefer quiet over a possible boardwalk view.)

While there is difference in point costs for the different views for DVC members staying at BWV, there is no cash difference.

The views range from looking out over the parking area, tennis courts and front entrance, to a view of the canal, pools or Boardwalk. With cash reservations, the cost is the same for all. You can certainly make a request for what you'd enjoy, but Disney will not guarantee those requests. For DVC members, the choices are standard or preferred. Preferred views are supposed to have a view of water (canal, pool or lake) and none of these are guaranteed for members either.

Since the standard views are usually quickly reserved by members 11 months ahead, it's not likely there are many available for cash reservations, so you will have a good chance of a preffered view anyway.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay. The BWV is a great resort and all of the views have something to offer. Don't get too hung up on what you'll see from the balcony.
