BWV Pool Rehab

I'm told that in late February, the slide at the pool at BW will be undergoing renovations, therefore BW guests are free to use Stormalong Bay. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Of course if the current freeze over central FL doesn't lift by then, this will be a moot point.

DIS reports here http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/rehab.htm that the slide renovation will take place from 2/7 to 3/16 and guests will be allowed access to Stormalong Bay during that period.

We are staying at BWV for 2 nights Feb 17-19 and we received a letter discussing the slide renovation and inviting us to use the pool at Stormalong Bay. The BWV pool will be open, just not the slide.

Thanks guys. This confirms what I had thought and what I had been told. I didn't get a letter yet, but than I only booked yesterday for late February. I was surprised to get BWV on such short notice, especially because the Princess Half Marathon should bring some crowds in that week.

Weird. I have a reservation from March 3-6 and never got a letter. I knew about it however from allears.

I'm booked from March 13 - March 18 and I also received a letter.

We are booked for Feb 16-23. We received the letter also. Just once again confused on why they do these renovations during their peak season???!!! I know, I know they have to do them sometime, just why not when it's the low season.

I think they choose the colder part of the year. BWV is usually occupied close to 100% all the time.
