BWV Phantom Valet Charges?

Has anyone been hit with phantom valet charges at BWV? We were there for a week last month and our bill showed 4 valet charges, including two from the day before we checked out (didn't move the car that day).

The catch is that we never used valet services and we always parked in self-parking -- just like the many previous trips we have made. Instead of an easy call to the front desk to get the charges removed, they insisted we talk to the valet stand. The valet stand appropriately was unable to do anything about our bill, so they referred us back to the front desk. The second time around we finally convinced the desk to remove the charges.

Was this a completely freak occurrence or has this happened to others? We didn't lose our room keys and our kids aren't nearly old enough to drive, so there is no reasonable explanation that I come up with for the charges.

When it was free for DVC members there was a charge for valet on our final bill for 1 day. It was easy to get it removed then just by going to the front desk. Now I can see it being harder to correct.

Since Valet was outsourced, getting incorrect billings reversed has become much harder.

Filing a claim for any damage to your car while using Valet is also imposable.

We deliberately hide our parking pass to keep the Valet's from obtaining our billing information.

Talk about getting the run-around! At least at OKW, there's no valet parking available, so they can't charge us for it.

well it has not happen to me - don't use valet parking and don't use bell services. would like too - but they want you to move your car and that is not something willing to do.

think I would get mad after both refused to do anything and demanded to see the manager.

DVC really needs to heard about this.

if the valet parking is charging everyone they can now - well Disney needs to reconsider its outsourcing.
