DH and I have a 1 BR Garden view room booked at the BWV for September. I've been reading a lot of negative reviews about the condition of the rooms at BWV. I've thought about switching to the VWL, but we love how convenient BWV are to HS and Epcot. BCV is normally our 1st choice, but at this point, there is only availability for one night. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!

I've stayed at both and really love how easy it is to te parks from BWV. I too am a little concerned with what I am reading and will be there next week so we shall see.

I think it depends on your plans.. I know we own both BLT and BWV for their locations so it would be hard for me to give that up.

I have stayed at both recently and I would do BWV everytime. When we stayed at BCV in June, they had to give us a different room than what I had reserved because ours had a leak! The location of our room was awefull and we just did not enjoy anything about it but SAB. When we stayed at BWV it was very pleasant and I thought the room was in better shape than our BCV room. We love the location and the clown pool worked just fine for us.

Thanks for the info! A Boardwalk view opened up and we switched to that from a standard view. Hoping it was worth the extra points!

Lucky you! BW view is something special.
Regarding the recent negatives about BWV: I always try to not place too much emphasis on the negative posts about any particular resort. If you add up all of the DVC stays by all of the DISers and compare that number to the stays that are reported here as "problem" stays, it seems to me that the odds of having a magical stay far outweigh the odds of a poor experience. We stayed at BWV last October and January and we had some of the best service we have had in the past 12 years of staying at BWV. Maybe we were just lucky or maybe things have gone downhill since then, but here's hoping you have a wonderful stay!

The villas at the BW have just recently been redone, where are you seeing negative comments about the rooms :confused3

I was going to ask the same thing. VWL hasn't been renovated, but it is only about 12 years old. BWV was renovated a few years ago and it is about 15 years old.
