hi all, i think we have narrowed it down to just between BCV and BWV, we are DVC members and have never stayed at either place, BCV is our home resort as well as VWL.if it were you which resort would you choose and why?we have stayed at OKW already and we will be at VWL in December so this is the only 2 left, so please help us out.
thanks, misty:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We are BCV owners and prefer the location because it seems more peaceful. For us, the atmosphere at BWV has no appeal because it seems so busy. But that is just us...we love the woods of northern Wisconsin but will never go to Vegas or Atlantic City. Different strokes....

another question, how long of a walk is it from both resorts to MGM and EPCOT?
thanks,misty

Epcot is closer to BCV and MGM is closer to BWV. The difference is maybe 3-5 minutes. Epcot is 5-10 min walk and MGM is 20(BWV) -30(BCV) min. Not bad if not too hot or you are not too tired. It sure beats the crowds using the boats at busy times.
We actually beat the boat back to BWV by a long shot by the time it unloaded, reloaded, and made it's stops.

hi: each will appeal for different reasons-bcv are a bit more laid back and out of the way. the pool at bc is great-almost like a mini water park. we prefer the convenience of bwv, but have never felt like we were "too much in the middle of things". it's great to people watch at the bw, and it's just so easy to have access to all the goodies at the bw. i'm sure whichever one you choose, you will have a great time.

We own at BCV and we've stayed there two times. We've never stayed at BWV. However, while we've never stayed at BWV we always go there to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. In the near future we hope to stay at BWV.

So far BCV and BWV meets our needs and we thoroughly enjoy this part of the Disney World complex.

We're new owners at BWV (we bought resale last fall), and we've stayed at both BWV and BCV now. I really like both for different reasons. BCV has a great pool, and it's a pool that you can' t pool-hop to when staying elsewhere. That alone is a huge draw for us. On the other hand, I love the atmosphere at BWV. Also, we were at BWV last Nov., and I LOVED the way it was decorated for XMas. Honestly, you can't go wrong staying at either:D

My advice -- go to the other one next year!

BWV is somewhat better placed for walking to Epcot and MGM in that it is directly on the path between the two parks. As a result BWV is significantly closer to MGM but only slightly farther from Epcot.

If this was a where do I purchase for my home resort question, I think there would be some significance to listing the pro's and con's for each resort. But for just one stay, my recommendation is to go check out your home resort. Next time try another one. One thing to consider is when will your next vacation after this one be? Christmas or Spring Break? You may wont to save the home resort advantage for those times. Otherwise, check out all the resorts with great locations, WLV, BCV, and BWV, it's part of the beauty of our purchase. Then there are other choices if your interested in staying at the ocean, or taing a boat to DD. ;) Enjoy your trip.
