BWV or AKL Jambo for a studio?

hi all! yesterday i made our first ressies after finally getting in the system as new members via resale.

DH and i have big birthdays within 2 weeks of each other (his 40th, mine 30th) and we plan on celebrating at wdw (duh!). i waitlisted at the beach club for a studio for 7 nights at the end of sept but booked AKL Jambo house studio.

I'm now wondering if perhaps i should book at the boardwalk instead. we liked the idea of the beach club because of it's proximity to epcot and DHS and boardwalk is awfully close as well (we do the epcot to DHS walk every trip).

should we switch to BWV instead of AKL? we will have our son who will be 15 months old and we go to bed early with him. is the boardwalk too loud at night?

I am interested in this info also. We just bought into BWV (still waiting to close), but stayed at AKV last Sept and loved it. We chose to buy at BWV because of location and all the great things I have read about it. (have seen it from the BW but never inside the rooms)

I thought AKV was fantastic for our 12mo last Sept, the pool at Kidani especially. We had a value 1BR (5th floor pool view) and it was quiet at night (we went to bed early with our kids too).

But I am excited about staying in the BWV next trip b/c I think the location will be great with a nearly 2yo.

So there was BWV availability for late Sept? I am dying to get my points and book our trip! (hoping to get in the week of Labor day....we'll see!)

But I would also be thrilled (and so would DH) to stay at AKV again if no room at BWV. I would like to try Kidani next time, for the pool, easy access to parking and b/c we haven't stayed there yet.

looks like we're in the same boat i don't mind staying at AKL jambo studio at all - we've never stayed at any dvc resort yet and have never stayed in a deluxe so anywhere will be great. but since BWV is so much closer to everything i think it appeals to me more as long as it's relatively quiet. it's not like we're going to keep the windows wide open but you know what i mean.

Thanks for the update on availability! I just found out we closed so hopefully I'll be able to make a reservation in the next few days
I am really interested to hear how loud BWV PV and SV rooms are? Is it just the BWV rooms that are loud at night?

I struggled with that decision also.If you do a search you will probably find my thread.
We ended up switching from BWV to akv.My kids are 5 and 2 and for us pool is a huge factor.Like the idea of the splash pad at kidani and zero entry pool.BWV pool will be better when kids are older...besides the clown freaked me out

Although location is better at bwv, we will be going to mk twice so would have to take bus anyways.

Good luck..can't go wrong with either.
