Anyone been to the kiddie pool lately? Is the little elephant that sprays water into the kiddie pool still there? There is a picture on the DIS (not sure when it was dated) and the elephant is not there.
Don't have an answer, but when I used google images to search "Luna Park Pool, " I had to laugh at the below. It's a photo of the original inspiration Disney used, the "baths" at Luna Park in Coney Island circa 1920:
And from the same park, here's the possible inspiration for the Kieser Coaster slide - the "Pikes Peak Scenic Railway," a heavily themed "mountain" roller coaster built over 60 years before Big Thunder:
And as for elephants, Luna holds the grim legacy of hosting one of the most horrific entertainment events ever held, the pubic execution of a live elephant by electrocution in 1903. Thomas Edison actually filmed it:

I just looked at those pics again. That elephant looks like it sprays into the Main pool, not the kiddie pool. I am trying to think back of when I was there. But, I was too busy taking the pics to pay attention. So, I may not have helped you at all...lol. There are elephants there though!
