I have a friend who just came back from BWV using rented points for a studio. The plan was to spend two days at BWV studio and then a week on DCL... The morning of departure she got up pretty earlier 6 am to do a load of wash in the Villa laundry room, upon ariving there the washing machines were full..... she waited until the individuals using them came down to switch the wash only to discover that the guests utilizing them were Inn guests not villa guest......they asked her if she was a Inn guest utilizing the villa's laundry to avoid having to pay to do laundry...

Here is my problem, I am a BWV-DVC member... my dues pay for the maintenance and up keep of the villa laundry not meant for use by Inn guests... is this something that has been going on for awhile and I was just ignorant to it... Should we be complaining to DVC that this is going on... what does everyone think???

Should the door to the laundry by locked and the only way to get in would be with your villa room key??

I would contact DVC Member satisfaction and relay that non-DVC Inn guests are taking the machines, and that you feel it is a problem. I'm surprised they don't have card readers on all the laundry rooms, especialy at the combined Disney/DVC resorts. Even OKW has card readers installed (though they aren't often activated) and it is a stand-alone DVC resort, with no non-villa guests

The last time we stayed in at studio at SSR (yes, it really happened), there were card readers on the doors to the laundry rooms. I think the reason they put the laundry room for BCV on the fourth floor was to keep non-guests out.
