Well, in two days I'll be 'home' for only the second time!! I've invited my Dsis and her DD whose 4 years old. This will be their first Disney trip ever (filled with many firsts) and probably a trip of a lifetime for them so I'm really trying to make it special.

I'd like to order something that could be delivered to the room at the BWV (then we'll be at the Cont next Tues - Fri) if possible. I know I don't have much time...

I was thinking of something like a Choc Mickey statue or an autograph book??? Any ideas? Has anyone ever ordered in-room gifts at the BWV (or the Cont?).

If I call BWV, would they be able to help me out? I know that the GF has wonderful bakery items that can be ordered but only delivered to GF places...like the Cinderella slipper dish and the Choc Mickey, and the dog bones and the cute mini cakes...is there anything like that at the BWV??

What have you all done?? Ideas? Thanks!!

WDW Florist has some gift items available and I believe they deliver to rooms ahead of arrival. Don't have the number handy, right now.

You might also try Gifts of a Lifetime. They have a website - just do a google search and you will find it.

Both of those might be more expensive than you had in mind, though.

Have you considered buying something at your local Disney Store and shipping it to the resort(s) before yu leave from home? You could include a card form Mickey (or your niece's favorite character).

Best wishes -

We took our boys for their 1st trip 2 years ago when they were almost 2 and 4. We bought them little things during their trip but the most exciting thing for them was what we did when we got home. We bought them small snow globes at WDW. When we got home, I snuck upstairs to their bedrooms and placed their gifts on their bed. I told them to put their pillows back in their rooms from the trip and that's when they found the gifts. I put a note on them from Mickey. It thanked them for coming to visit them and that he couldn't wait to see them again. They couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces for weeks and the older one still cherishes his gift from mickey.

Here is the website for the WDW florist, if that helps. I've been working with one of their kind staff on some Halloween surprises for our BWV stay in October and have had a great experience!

When we stayed at OKW last May, we called ahead of time and requested an autographed photo of Mickey in the room for our then 2 1/2 yr old DS. We fully expected to pay for it. They were WONDERFUL and between checking in and coming back from Publix for groceries, there was a huge bouquet of balloons tied to an autographed photo of Mickey AND Donald in front of the castle waiting on the kitchen island for him. Max was so excited that Mickey had left him such a great welcome home.

And come to think of it...it never showed up on our bill. We loved OKW for this and more. Disney magic.

:p

Last year I ordered the interactive Mickey Doll from the store ahead of time and it was waiting in the room for my daughter when we arrived.
