..or should i say mousekeeping?...

anyway, i am renting from a DVC owner for the first time and have some questions.

i thought i had read some where housekeeping only comes 2x a week. we are arriving on a sunday and leaving on a friday so when will they come.

also, what about the usuals in a hotel like shampoo, conditioner and soap?

lastly, we have a kitchen...is there dish soap to wash dishes? is there all the utensails and cookware i'll need to do light cooking? I assume there isn't any tin foil, plastic wrap type stuff either.

We are flying so with two toddlers we are trying to pack as light as possible.

thanks everyone,
lisa

If you're checking in on Sunday, Mousekeeping will be there for Trash and Towel service on Wednesday.

Soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. is all there. Unless you consume an unusual amount, there should be enough to last.

It sounds like you're in something larger than a studio, is that correct? You'll also have a washer/dryer in your room so you can pack fewer clothes. DVC provides laundry detergent for one load, so you may want to bring your own (I use power and put it in baggies).

Here's a list of kitchen supplies included in one-bedroom units and larger.

No foil, plastic wrap or baggies. Bring those.

We never find there is enough shampoo. I'd bring that. Our list:

salt and pepper
sugar
coffee
coffee filters
laundry soap
shampoo/conditioner/toiletries
eggs
bread
peanut butter
cereal
jam
half and half
microwave popcorn

Don't bring: dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper.

Thanks Crisi for sharing your list! It's very helpful!!

I'm debating on using a wegoshop for groceries, or stuffing my luggage, depends on the weight restrictions!!
