I'm in the process of buying a very small contract at the BWV through the Timeshare Store, and have called Disney and asked for a larger block of points (on the perpetual peonage plan). Since I am willing to take any use year, the saleslady said I shouldn't have to wait too long.

I've stayed at BWV once before, when it was brand new, as a cash customer through CRO. Got upgraded to a 1 BR, and boy was it nice. I really like the dining options on the Boardwalk.

Now for the question. The Swan and Dolphin seem to have some pretty good dining options, particularly Shulas. Anyone go over threre regularly to eat, and if so where?

Also, the Swan and Dolphin have kids clubs. Since they are closer than the Beach Club, anyone use them over the Sandcastle Club? How far away is the car rental place near the Dolphin?

Any other benefits to having the Swan and Dolphin close by?

Great jogging paths around the property. They have lots of sidewalks that twist around and are excellent for jogging, especially after running around Crescent Lake a couple of times its a nice change.

It is also a great short cut through their property to get to Fantasia Gardens mini golf rom the BWV.

There's a DVC 20% discount at the Fresh Mediteranean restaurant, as well as at the Ice Cream shop. We've used them both, many times.

My DSis was able to drop the rental car at the Dolphin, but she was not able to pick one up there. We had to drive her to the car care center that's on the road out.

In January, we dropped off our rental at the Dolphin after the office had closed - you just give your key to the hotel valet at the Dolphin. We also picked up a car there a few days later. They have more limited hours than the other on-site location, but it was very convenient to be so close to BWV.
We tried Kimonos for the first time on that trip - it was very good, and fun to watch the Karaoke.
We also have been to Shula's and used the Dolphin kids' club since the restaurant provides a couple of hours (don't remember the exact amount of time) free.
Both hotels are very beautiful, with lots of restaurants, and we have started taking advantage of this more and more.

We often dine at the Swan/Dolphin--Palio, Fresh, Blue Zoo and Shulas are all fine spots!!

We just got back from BWV and this entire area is great for dining options.

You have the restaurants everyone mentioned at swan & dolphin
plus Cape May Cafe and Yachtsman just over the lake
plus the close proximity to the Epcot restaurants
not to mention all the BW places

Every trip (no matter which DVC we're staying at), we visit Kimonos for dinner. The 20% off for DVC Members is really great, too!

Thank you all for the info. It was as I suspected, and I am looking forward to a future stay at the BWV, where I can also have the benefits of the neighborhood.
