I am planning a 60th Bday party for myself and 8 of my girlfriends. Any imput or experiences staying in the Boardwalk Grand Villas especially the one story versus 2 story. Have you requested one or the other and actually got your request? From the pics I have seen online the one story seems a little bigger and better laid out but hate to get my hopes up for that and then wind up with a 2 story. This is for the last week of Sept 2010 and I will book it as soon as my 11 month mark comes up.....think my chances are good for getting a Grand Villa then? Should I request the one story? Sometimes I think that the front desk gives you a better room if you have no requests, am I being paranoid? You know how some trips you don't really care where your room is and others (with guests, friends and family ) you really want a great room...I know it is a long ways away but I also know that fellow Dis'ers will understand my planning excitement!!!

Both GV designs are excellent. Given the small number of GV's, there's a good chance there will only be one available on dates of your stay, so it won't matter what you request. Given that you are planning for 8 others, I figure you've got many, many things to stress over. Don't let this be one of them. Request the one-floor if you like (personally, I love the openness of the two-story design) but you really can't go wrong here.

I believe there are 5 one floor and 2 two floor. Getting your request will depend on when others are checking out. They are usually fully occupied.

Thanks for the replies....I need to just get in my head and your posts confirms this, especially DisneyWalker44, that I will love whatever GV we get and be grateful if/when we get one!!
