Staying BWV garden/pool view in late August. Any recommendations about requests? Any feedback on these rooms? I was going to try to switch to boardwalk view b/c I felt like it's the same number of points and would be better, but my wife disagrees; she's worried about boardwalk noise with our young kids at night.

Any feedback on garden/pool view, pro's or cons, would be appreciated. We'd like to keep the walking down somewhat, with two kids/strollers, etc..., but are not hung up on that.

Thanks!

We have never been bothered by BW view room noise. We are huge fans of BW view. We keep the doors and drapes closed at night. But there are others who have posted that drunks on the BW at bar closing have disturbed their sleep. If your kids are light sleepers perhaps you should request a view of the quiet pool just to be on the safe side. You might also consider requesting "close to elevator."

You are talking about next month? You'd have to waitlist that for sure and there might be a few ahead of you. Only about 20% of the villas are BW view.

3 of 4 nights were available for boardwalk view. I am not switching though, my wife doesn't want to. I was really interested in any advice on what--if anything--to request with a garden/pool view.

I would request top floor if you are concerned about noise and close to elevator.

The Garden view is nice and quiet. I have had this view twice now. The boardwalk view is difficult to get. You would have had to request this when you made your reservation. Enjoy your vacation.

We had a garden/pool view that was off of the quiet pool and it was wonderful. We had a dedicated 1BR and it faced the pool and the canal to DHS could be seen from the balcony and the side window in the living room. It was really nice sitting on the balcony at night.

Also had a room on the Village Green that gave us a partial view of the Boardwalk and it was close to elevator and stairs. It was a great location, but we didn't spend much time on the balcony. There was more noise from the Boardwalk and one evening there was a fair amount of partying going on, but with the door closed we could hear anything.

BWV member here, I've stayed in both sides of the hotel many times. Myself also with small children. First theres very little sound coming off the boardwalk especially if you close the doors. You can tell your wife its nothing like a Jersey shore Boardwalk. Also your children will be unconcious when they go to sleep. The pool side is nice if you have a view of the main pool. The garden view very quiet. Have a nice trip

Thanks! Can you request a view of the main pool? Is that a practical request, i.e. does it move us further from the elevators? Are there two sets of garden/pool view rooms? I looked at the resort map and can't figure it out.

Go with the leisure pool instead of Luna Park. It will be a bit quieter.

If you were assigned real close to the elevator then your view would be of the main pool, but just asking for the main pool could place you in rooms that are further from the elevator than some others.

Garden/pool views are kind of in 4 sections main pool, quiet pool, swan/dolphin and village green.

I would request pool view high floor. I love the view of the luna park pool and the quiet pool is very nice as well. As long as you don't get a big tree in your way, I think most preferred views are very nice.

I have definitely been woken up at 2am by drunks on the boardwalk. I simply invested in some earplugs. They never woke up our kids though.

We had a 2 bedroom overlooking the main pool on the ground floor. It was great for going back and forth to the pool and the noise from the pool didn't bother us, especially with the porch doors closed. However, the last night after we came back from dinner we heard a very loud noise right outside our porch door. Turns out they show the movie by the pool in the grass literally right outside our rooms! Fortunately, the movie was over by 10:00. If we had little kids it probably would have been pretty cool to watch the movie from our villa.

Those are great pictures, thank you. That BW view makes me want to waitlist....you never know! If we could see the fireworks from our room, that'd be worth any potential noise. Do all BW views have a view of the fireworks?

I like that pool view too. Either way, I can't wait to go and will appreciate whatever I'm looking at. This summer has been too hectic already.

All BW views can see Illuminations fireworks. The higher floors and the rooms furthest from the elevators have a slightly better view. Usually you can also see MK fireworks in the distance over the rooftops of Yacht Club. If you are on a lower floor you may be able to enjoy the BW street performers right from your balcony.
