Our first stay at BWV is scheduled for February (6 nights). We have a 1 bedroom with a garden view, and are on the waitlist for a Boardwalk view. My DH has some mobility issues due to an leg injury so we will have an ECV. (We did not request a handicapped accessible room because he can generally get around ok in a hotel room and didn't want to take a room from someone who needs it more). We're in our early 50s, love the rides but our days of kamikazee-ing thru the parks are over. We plan to do as much as we can but without the dumbo-til-we-drop momentum. We're looking forward to relaxing at night at the places on the Boardwalk, etc. The only time I've been on the Boardwalk has been running thru it during the WDW Marathon and 10K. So... can anyone recommend good threads on this site? Or good recommendations for us? I've tried to read through as many as I could find (including Shamus' room location one which, frankly, I don't understand some of the acronyms??) but haven't found one yet with a really good overview of the resort (from a DVC perspective). And, although I know it's been addressed a bit in Shamus' link, what areas are the farthest walk from the bus and boat transportation? Is it really "that far"? We stayed at CSR for our 10th anniversary many years ago and were in a distant building - and it had a slightly negative impact on our trip. I'd like to avoid a repeat of that, if possible. Thanks for any assistance!!!
