BWV first timer Aug 2002

We are staying at the BWV next month (8/3-8/9) for the first time-myself, DH, & 2 DS. Any suggested don't miss stuff? We have previously stayed at the VWL a couple of times & off site a number of times. (I don't know what took us so long to find out about DVC) Looking so forward to this trip. End of summer-last hurrah before school starts.
Thanks for any advice.

OK, I've got two. DD and I had a great time at the Community Hall one afternoon while DH napped. They have free air hockey, foosball, etc. And be sure to visit the candy store on the Boardwalk "Seashore Sweets". Look up while you're in there. Diana

Most kids love the pool slide at the main pool, make sure you go to see the nighttime entertainment on the Boardwalk, this is a lot of fun and the front desk can give you times of what is happening and when, watch Illuminations or Fantasmic fireworks from your balcony, rent a surrey bike and ride all around the Boardwalk and YC/BC, play the arcade type games on the boardwalk, depending on the ages of you DD, preteens and teens like ESPN Club a lot, get into the spirit of pin trading/collecting Boardwalk has a very good pin cart and if CM Leighton is working he is very knowledgable about pins since he is a pin collector himself, many Fri & Sat nights in the busy seasons there is a DJ outside of Atlantic Dance Club which is a lot of fun, get an ice cream cone or sundae and sit at an outside table and take in the beautiful atmosphere of the Boardwalk, eat a meal at an outside table at Big River Grille, walk around to the canal side and you will find many friendly ducks that love to be fed, sit on the wicker rocking chairs on the main porch and just enjoy life!
