BWV - Finally!

It took a lot of calls but thanks to all of your posts to help me understand how complicated using DP, wait list and getting in at last minute. We got our whole trip at BWV in a 1 BR for first week in June. Using partial DP made it difficult and crossing UY as I didn't want to move more than once and if we did wanted to make sure it was convenient for us. Well after a month of calling and then getting an acceptable time to move and wait list the rest WE GOT IT for the whole time NO MOVING

I called MS 2-3x a day at have to say they were great. Didn't have to wait long to get connected all of them were professional and courteous. Even working through the complexity of the reservation they were great. It really helps to know the rules and process when you call and I thank all of you for that

Ok ok enough bable...... but I'm so pumped to be able to walk to Epcot and check out the boardwalk that I have heard so much about.

I also want to praise Beatrice at MS, after waitlisting and calling everyday, we finally got our whole trip at the BWV for the 3rd week of May. She was extremely patient and went the extra mile to help us

Okay, now I am confused. If you are on the waitlist then why do you have to call, too? I have just been sitting and waiting. Should I be calling, too? If my dates/resort/size open and I am next on the waitlist, won't I autimatically get the ressie? Can someone explain this to me, please? I'd very much appreciate it. Thanx!

I couldn't waitlist and use developer points. I was very picky of when I was willing to move (or split stay) so I had to call everyday. I finally got dates that I was willing to make a move and used DP for the dates after the move and then regular points for dates before which allowed me to then waitlist. The wait list then came through and I was good to go. I had to call constantly because they didn't have dates I was willing to move, couldn't get consecutive days at BWV causing multiple moves, and the DP added to the complication. If you have wait list you shouldn't have to call in unless you just want to check status. Hope that makes sense, I found I was confusing myself going thru the process but it worked out.

We called at the 7 month mark and switched our AKV ressie over to BWV. I can't wait, this will be a mommy and daddy only trip and I am so excited to be in the middle of it all. Have fun in June OP.
