BWV Clown Slide Different

The clown slide has changed after the work that they just completed. The clown face looks smaller, don't know if this is permanent or maybe he is out for repairs.

At one time it had red eyes, they are now white. I don't really look at it during our stays but it seems different some how, more than the eyes.

CM's here at BWI/BWV say that they have been told that the clown is going away in the future because some people don't like clowns.

This is a picture of the clown during 2010 and the eyes appear white. There was a pool refurb going on thus the fence and scaffolding.

I guess he is the same, thanks for the pictures. DW and I sore that he was larger with more red hair.

That thing creeps me out. I wish they'd change it.

BW is the perfect resort for us but I can't bring myself to book it because of the clown slide.

I do'nt like clowns, either, I am quite phobic.

But that slide is so terrific I Do Not Care. Plus, think about what we're doing to the poor clown when we use the slide. We're tormenting the poor thing. So if we hate clowns, this is a GOOD thing. Getting our revenge with every trip down that slide.

I also don't like clowns but that slide makes me laugh as I watch people getting spit out his mouth! And it's a pretty good slide for WDW - we like it much much more than the one at SAB.

My daughter taped my son coming out of the clowns mouth on her iPhone. When she went to rewind and play it back we watched my son get sucked into that big mouth. It was so funny yet so creepy at the same time. My husband thought it looked like a scene from a Chucky movie.

Nah, it's OK, I just love that slide!

Sorry, but if the clown was there before anyone bought and they don't like clowns then they shouldn't have bought there at BWV. A lot of us like the clown slide and I hope it's not coming down.

The only thing we don't LOVE about BWVs is the Clown. So much so we go almost exclusively to the garden (quiet) pool, or the pool at the BWI, although we prefer to keep that one a "secret."

My DH hates clowns! I think I'll have him watch "It" before our trip in June. First stay at BWV, talked him into sucking it up and trying it.

I feel like watching "It" is going to be countereffective for him trying the slide.
