We are starting to plan for a trip to bwv next Christmas week. We're planning on a studio for the 4 of us. Our boys will be 8 and 2. Will a studio be big enough for us? This will be our first trip to our home resort so we're a bit anxious but want to use the 11 month window to book. Does anyone have any tips?? Thanks for any help!

When my DH goes with us, us being myself and two sons (11 and 9) we get a 1 bedroom. That being said it is very hard to go back to a studio after staying in a 1bdr. When its just myself and the boys we get a studio. I find them to be very spacious when I compare them to other deluxe rooms on property although I think thats due to the fact we fold the couch back up every morning. I love having the mini frig and microwave. We're booking the BWV in a couple of weeks for Dec too!!!

Assuming you and your spouse sleep in the queen bed, your boys will be relegated to the full size sleeper sofa. Sounds OK to me, but you have to decide. There are portable cribs, but a 2 year old sounds a little big? There are some studios with a daybed. Maybe you can try to request one of those and hope for that. A 1 BDR would only upgrade you to a queen size sleeper sofa instead of the full size in the studio. I would probably stay with the studio and try for the daybed.

I think that the studio would be more than adequate for you. The primary question to ask yourself regards desired privacy. We still use the studio with our 4 year old but would contemplate getting the 1 bedroom (with the Jacuzzi:) ) when he's older. It's a matter of personal preference. If you're comfortable now placing yourselves in a standard hotel room, you'll find the studio to be even more spacious........along with the fridge and microwave.

If you're planning on doing some "serious" cooking, then the 1 bedroom would afford you an entire kitchen. We usually eat breakfast in the room but take most of our other meals at the parks or on the Boardwalk.

Have a great time,

Just adding my $.02. A studio is comparable to a deluxe hotel room with the added convenience of the wet bar/micro/frig. The "change" at BWV/WLV is that instead of two beds you have the foldout couch. I've found the foldout couches at OKW and BWV to be comfortable and I'm sure your boys will enjoy it. A one-bedroom is terrific but the points are pretty steep for Christmas Week and it's not a necessity.

There are only 3 in my family..and DD is now 3 1/2 BUT having said that....we've stayed in a studio and one bdrm. I'm not sure how your two yr old is about napping and sleeping, but our DD would not nap in a studio w/ us in the same room. Anyone w/ kids knows Disney is not the happiest place on earth w/ a cranky child ;)...IMHO I would splurge on the one bdrm so both children can get "good" sleep while there. Points may be alot more but we've been in your situation when she was two and had to switch midweek from studio to one bdrm at VWL and by then she was so overtired it kinda ruined the trip. Just a thought:smooth:
