HOw are the buses to MK? Was thinking of skipping the rental car on our Easter trip and using buses. Thought it would be quicker

Unpleasant :goodvibes

Bus always stops at Swan then Dolphin, 2 stops not 1. During slow times, it can loop to Yatch and Beach Club as well.

The good thing is it's the first pickup. Drop off is hit or miss. Sometimes it's first, sometimes BWV is last.

It's not going to be any quicker or slower than driving, (not counting the wait time for the bus). You'd have to park at MK and wait for the monorail/ferry... unless you're one of the many illegally parking at BLT like we noticed on our last trip.:rolleyes1

I think it's the worst bus on property. If you do it, that's fine- just know it's bad. Hope for a busy morning and a full bus that has to go all the way to MK without stopping. On the way back get off at Swan and take the bridge to BW

We've had good BWV bus karma, but it seems we are rare.

A rental car is quicker.

Another plan is to take a cab in the mornings - take it to the Poly and grab the monorail. Saves on car rental if you aren't going to the MK often. We then take the monorail back through Epcot (need hoppers), make a swing through Future World, and walk back to Boardwalk.

We got lucky most of the time and never waited long. One night tho leaving MK from the MNSSHP we must have just missed it and waited 30 min plus.

The bus to MK isn't that bad!! I've gotten lucky most of the time. One time we waited for 15 minutes lost patience and hopped in a $15 cab ride to the contemporary and walked to MK from there! You can walk to Epcot AND HS from the boardwalk so MK is the only inconvenience! The rest is cake!

Doesn't the monorail go to Epcot?

You have quite a hike to get to the monorail - and you have to go through Epcot to get there. We do it coming back, but most mornings if you want to arrive at rope drop, Epcot isn't even open to walk through.

And its a long walk that easily eats up more time than you'd wait for a bus - we do it because we spend some time in Epcot on our way back.

It was announced at the annual meeting that the Boardwalk busses to MK during the morning would be non-stop. So no stop at Swan & Dolphin. I stayed there in October (before the change), it wasn't bad.

I'm typically a proponent of driving but a car from BWV to MK isn't going to be any more pleasant than bus. Self-parking at BW is typically crowded. Could take you 5-7 minutes just to walk to your car. Then you have to deal with the TTC parking, tram and then monorail or boat over to MK.

Even with a car, MK is the one park where riding a bus will often get you into the park quicker from pretty much any resort.
