BWV Boardwalk View Studio waitlist?

I've been placed on a waitlist for a BWV Boardwalk view studio room for early August. Anyone had luck with a BW view coming through with a waitlist?

I have been waitlisted for the boardwalk (standard view) for the first week of february for 3 months now & it never came through. So we will be staying at OKW. Penny

Our BWV waitlist for the first of June came through last year - got on the waitlist right at 7 months, and it came through in about a month and a half. We were able to get a preferred/garden view without the WL - but I was THRILLED to get the lovely BW view!!!!

We were wait listed for 1 night on our trip last July. I made the original reservation in February and the waitlist came through the end of March. We just had the room booked as a cash room in case the waitlist did not come through.

Our friends wanted to use our points and stay at wdw over thanksgiving week, they decided on the vacation 2 months before thanksgiving. 6 people in their party all adults. I tried all of the dvc properties nothing available 3 studios, 2 bedrooms, villa etc nothing I kept trying and low and behold 1 month out a villa became available at ssr. I was told at member services that they get cancellations 30 days out so keep trying.

I had to waitlist for a Boardwalk view studio for two nights of my upcoming May vacation. The waitlist came through after about 2 1/2 months.

like the PP, our waitlist for 1 night (in the middle of the vacation, of course lol) was waitlisted for about 2 1/2 months. bad thing with BW view is that it is not available with cash discount (only points) so we booked a regular preferred view "just in case".
i would say you have an excellent chance (honestly, i would give a little to none during F&WF, but august is likely).
just a suggestion: call about once a week; for some reason, waitlists seem to get fulfilled often that way. also, not sure when or how long your vacation is for, but maybe do multiple waitlists if you haven't, i.e., waitlist for entire trip, and waitlist for first half & book 2nd half in preferred/standard (if available), and book 1st 1/2 in preferred/standard (if available) & waitlist 2nd half. if/when the waitlist comes through on one of the second options, call back & waitlist the remainder).
(just mho, but the BW view is worth waiting for. it is truly amazing )

I asked if I should waitlist for just the one night and she suggested that it would be better just to waitlist for my entire ressie. I fear that I should have gone with my gut and just did the one night! The preferred view will be fine if we get the section that faces the the green area and boardwalk, but I don't want to be on the backside of the villas!

y'know, you can have more than one waitlist. (i've done it repeatedly: waitlist one night or entire trip, or waitlist at different resorts/room typres).
did you book the entire trip preferred pool/garden already?
if so, you might want to try spliting the stay, & waitlist BW view for the first or 2nd half in addition to the LOS waitlist.
& by "backside", did you mean the BW entrance with the driveway? because that is standard view. (so, not to worry )

We are on the waitlist also, for a night in early June.

What I have booked at the BWV, all in studios: these were all booked on Friday, because we wanted to extend our stay. Nothing was available at Beach Club, so.....
6/3 Standard view, WL for preffered view so we don't have to move.
6/4 Preffered view
6/5 1 bed boardwalk view, I thought that would be a nice end to a no parks trip, so we are keeping it. It was the only room available that night.

And yippee!! I just checked online and my waitlist for Beach Club came through!!! So now we will be at Beach Club in a studio 5/30 thru 6/3.

I did already book the entire stay PV, because the one day in the middle was not available for BV, and she thought that we probably didn't want to move if the one day didn't come through. I don't mind so much, but my husband hates to move! I got to thinking that it might have been more likely the waitlist would come through for one night rather than eleven now.

I waitlisted last summer, but it never came through. It wasn't at the BWV though.

I'm not sure what the garden view is. We've stayed at BWV once before. It was before we bought DVC. We had a PV and overlooked the green grass area with the boardwalk beyond that. I believe we were over the Wyland Gallery. It was great! We loved our view, our room, and especially our balcony! It was one of the deciding factors to buy DVC! We had always stayed in moderates before that! I would gladly take that area again, but I really don't want to be over the pool or the canal area, that is why I wanted to ensure a boardwalk view to be on that side.

I have a BWV-BV for early August but I am waitlisted for a concierge studio at animal kingdom. With any luck, I will get AK and you would get my BWV-BV.

Has anyone who was waitlisted for a concierge room at AK been getting them?
