BWV & BCV questions...

I am looking to start with a resale contract at one of the Epcot Resorts! Let me ask...

If I buy BWV I get full use of everything at BWV, including the pool?

If I buy at BCV I get full use of everything including SAB, and everything at BWV, except the pool?

How much better is the pool at BCV then BWV? I hear that SAB is amazing!

You can only use SAB if you stay at BCV. You can also pool hop to BWV pool while staying at BCV.

You can't use SAB if you stay at BWV.

But DVC could always discontinue pool hopping at any time. They already do that during holidays and busier times.

Being a DVC member doesn't give you pool hopping privileges if you are not staying on points at a DVC resort.

I did not know that! That is good to know. I have DS8, DS2, DS6mo. would SAB be a good fit for them?

I also understand that DVC member privileges can change at anytime, so why worry about what I have no control over.

We have a wide age range of children, & they all love SAB. There's a shallow area the little ones love b/c they can be playing in the sand one minute & in the water the next. The bigger kids (included DH ) enjoy the slide & getting rafts to float around on. We've spent days poolside...it's a destination in itself including waiters/waitresses checking to see if you'd like to order drinks or lunch!

Aside from the pool, we love BCV for the proximity to Epcot & DHS. Now that we have teens, we have enjoyed some "dates" where the kids turn in early to watch a movie & we enjoy a stroll over to Epcot or just around the BW. Something to keep in mind for years down the road!

We've found SAB great for kids of all ages. We've been there with kids ranging from two through early teens. Only one of our kids is a strong swimmer, and the others need supervision, and that was a problem last trip because I was with them on my own. Other than that, nice pool. The big kids do prefer the BWV slide, but like SAB better overall.

They're both nice resorts, but for some reason (not sure what, exactly) we just prefer BCV over BWV though nothing beats the boardwalk view at BWV.

SAB is very big. So if you are trying to watch the little ones in the area where the little kids play, you won't be able to watch your older one go down the main slide. There are some extremely deep areas at SAB, about 8 feet deep near the "lazy river" area. The "lazy river" is more like a very fast current loop. And it's located between the little kids area which is closer to the YC and the main slide which is located closer to the BC side. The current is extremely swift in this area and it's easy to be pulled into the deeper area.

We really love BWV for the fantastic view and standard points.

My nephews swam at the BWV pool and enjoyed the keister coaster.

They were very impressed with SAB though when they went to Cape May.

I like the Standard and Preferred option and the BW at BWV! But I love the laid back feel and SAB at BCV! Ohhh...what to do???

You don't necessarily have to buy at BCV or BWV to stay there. Any DVC member can book at these resorts.

If you buy BWV points, you'll have a booking advantage at BWV. You can book vacations at this resort at the 11-month point, which gives you an extra 4 months over owners at other resorts who can't book until the 7-month point.

The same goes for booking at BCV if you own there.

Sort of...we've decided to add on, but haven't done it yet.

I'm getting 50BLT , but I wanted 100 so....I think my addonitis is actually worse.
