I have not stayed at BWV and keep reading about those long hallways.

Are the long hallways a possibility based upon your room location if you are in a standard view or is it any view??

I would prefer boardwalk view so if I request a boardwak view or preferred view will I still have the issues with the long hallways???
I can't imagine it would be but since I haven't stayed there I just want to be sure.

Thanks :)

There is the possibility of being at the end of a hallway with any view. We just jot back from BWV and our room was at the end of the hallway. We had room 5010/5008. It was a preferred view. It was a long walk down the hall, but we loved the room. It was quiet and had a wonderful view of the Swan/Dolphin and the canal.

As noted by Melissa, any BWV view type can end up with a bit of a hike to the room. The best way to avoid this is to request near the elevators...but that's not a guarantee.

BWV...AKV...VWL....BCV. All can have substantial walks to the elevators. IMHO, it's one of the most overblown "issues" on these boards.

We stayed in a standard 1 bed back in May and loved it! We were near the end of a long walk, but very near HS, walk maybe 10 mins. Unless you really have a difficult time walking, I would go and not let it bother you. Have a great trip! BWV became a very close 2nd fav to our home resort VWL and we are so looking forward to another stay in Mar.

Agreed. After walking 8 hours at the parks, the hallways have never been our concern. We love the long walk at BWV if we have Boardwalk view. It means we likely have a nice view of SSE and Epcot.

You'll need a bag of breadcrumbs if you go with the BW view. To find your way back to the elevators. ;)

Absolutely! We had a room at the back of BCV and that was by far the longest walk ever! But, it wasn't a deal breaker either. Honestly, I didn't mind the walk at BWV, we were about midway back and even at the end, we would have been OK. At BCV it was more annoying to have to make it down to the main hotel, then out to the villas, then all the way back (our room was literally at the end:scared1:)....while no one will complain about BCV, everyone complains about BWV's hike. Granted, it is all in perspective, if we had been driving, we would have been right next to the lot, but we weren't, so no advantage there. At BWV's we were on the first floor, so it was nice, we could make it to the pool in no time flat (there is only one set of elevators, so if you don't do stairs, the upper floors could be a more of a pain).
