BWV and GF room request

We are staying at BWV and also GF. These resorts look huge. I know requests are not guaranteed but I am looking for advice and to if there is a favorite place or room to stay in. Possibly less walking. Do both have multiple elevators? We have a 1 BR Lake View reserved. Thank You

At VGF I would not worry about it if you have a Lake View. Just specify if you want an upper floor or lower floor. It is a pretty small building.

All of the DVC rooms at VGF are in one single building. The building on the south end of the property (closest to Polynesian) that sits between the Wedding Chapel and the main building. You might request a room towards the north end of that building, to be closer to the pool and the main part of the resort.

Elevators at GFV are centrally located and there are three in that spot. BWV only has one bank of elevators as well, but there are much longer hallways to traverse once you get off the elevator.

VGF is actually very small and lakeview is all in one concentrated area just on different floors.

So at BWV closest to the elevator would be best and would also be close to the pool this way? I am guessing by having a LV room it may be quieter as I assume it is not as quite with a boardwalk view. Correct?

The ground floor exit/ entrance door next to the BWV elevator goes right to the main pool.

There are no LV rooms at BWV. The villas overlooking the lake are classified as Boardwalk view. Maybe you meant Pool/Garden view? Some of those are quiet, but those overlooking the main pool can be noisy mid-day (loud music & pool games). Boardwalk view rooms can be noisy in the evenings and at bar closing, and sometimes first thing in the morning when carts are rolling down the Boardwalk.

In many stays over the years, we haven't found noise to be much of a problem anywhere at BWV, except for the time we had very inconsiderate neighbors!
