BWV 2 BR in December - High Demand?

Hello all,

We are planning a 2009 vacation 11/29 through 12/10 with 6 people. We are hoping to stay at either BWV or BC and I am wondering if a 2 BR would be in demand during those times. Given that we don't have enough of our own points for the 2BR, I am going to have to rent points which is why I am trying to plan way ahead. I am wondering if I should rent from someone with home resort points to benefit from the 11-month window at either of those resorts, or if a 7-month window would be sufficient? Points from SSR and OKW seem to be going for $4-5 less than BC and BWV so I would prefer to save the money and rent there. Any input would be appreciated.

I would think you'd need the home resort advantage to snag BCV or BWV during the first week of December; either that, or a lot of luck!

If you don't get a reservation before the 7 month winodw opens,you won't get one. There will be waitlists for at least some of the days you listed before the window opens.

You will definitely need that home resort advantage for that time of year. Get a transfer into your UY if you haven't used your once a year transfer. Then the points are yours and you control the reservation. If you rent those days, the other member fully controls that reservation.

You will need to transfer in BWV or BCV points if you want to have th 11 month advantage for booking those resorts. That time of year is about the busiest time for DVC bookings and I highly recommend booking at the 11 month window for availability.
