We are staying at the BWPPI in Dec and when I went to book it, it asked if we want upper or lower level. Also there was an area for comments. To those of you who've stayed there, what do you recommend? Should I ask for a room close to Harbor or close to elevator or ??? TIA!:thumbsup2

Stayed there twice in 2005. Ask to be on the opposite side of the hotel from Captain Kidd's restaurant next door, which can be loud.

There are only three floors, and we rarely used the elevator from our room on the third floor. So I do not think elevator proximity is worth considering.

Location will be determined by the type of room you have, regular or mini-suite, 1 king or 2 fulls. From my understanding when I called, the mini-suites with 2 queens are in the back where it is quiet. The kings are in the front where it is a bit louder. You can call and ask them where the room type you want is located and then post back in here to get a better feedback.

See now, and I thought they had once told me there are no mini-suites on the first floor at all. I do know that we once stayed in a king room and it was towards the front on the opposite side of that restaurant. Nice and peaceful.

Other times we'd stayed in a QQ minisuite on the second or third floors, once or twice facing the restaurant. A little noisier, we could hear the trucks backing up in the morning, but it's not something that really annoyed us or anything. We were up anyways.

And twice we stayed in a regular suite with 2 doubles. One time that room configuration got us a pool view, which wasn't the quietest come afternoon nap time. It would almost appear that the only rooms that are going to have that pool view would be the regular suites, but don't quote me on that.

Our room was on the opposite side of Captn kidds and just down/around the corner from the elevator. It was VERY quiet and did not have alot of foot traffic. We only used the elevator when we had our luggage...

If you want hi speed internet access ask for the building closest to Harbor.
