We made reservations at BWI a family of 5. 4 adults one teen. When we made the reservations all the ages were given. We were given a standard room, paying extra for an extra person and extra adult. I have since found out that the day bed is not suitable for a teen. Reservations tells me I now have to pay $17more per day for a cot. Does this seem unreasonable? Shouldn't they have told us we would not fit in the room? what would you do?

If I felt that I needed a roll away bed I would pay the $17 per night. I would reserve it now to insure its availabilty. I would not complain.
I do not think this is unreasonable. You have decided that the day bed is not suitable for your teen.
Have a Great Trip.

I would get the roll away bed for the extra $$ if you want to stay at the BWI. It is a lovely resort. Maybe the CM didn't know how tall your teenager was. But not a bad price MHO
