BWI vs. YC

What one do you prefer? We would be getting a standard view, so the actual view difference from both doesn't really matter. Just the style and general feel of the resort.

I voted for the YC because the rooms were recently renovated and the pool (Stormalong Bay) is awesome. We also like Beaches n Creme, the Galley, and Cape May.

BWI is also nice. We thought it was very romantic... but the one negative was always having to go outside of the hotel to get anything to eat. But they have lots of great food on the boardwalk... bakery, pizza place, espn club, and sitdown restaurants too. Oh, and night spots.

I think you'd be fine either way.

BWI is my all-time favorite. I love the bright and happy decor and the proximity to the action on the boardwalk.

However, didn't you mention in another thread that this trip will be your honeymoon? In that case, I might go with YC. It seems a little quieter and more secluded.

Totally switching gears here, but you may want to consider the Polynesian. I read the Tikiman's trip report of his honeymoon, and the CMs there really seemed to go out of their way to make them feel like special guests. He even copmpares his stay there with a visit to the YC.

After you read his report, take a look at the rest of his site. He has me very excited to stay there on my next visit. It really looks beautiful. I can tell you, if it were my honeymoon, that is where I would stay!

The YC Is my favorite resort. The rooms are newly renovated and we like the fact that there is a mini bar in the room so we can put a couple water bottles in it and some milk for DS (I don't think the Boardwalk has a mini bar). I also like that it's one big building, unlike some of the other resorts where you have to walk outside your building to get to the main building for food etc. Stormalong bay is awesome and Beaches and Cream is yummy too. I vote for the YC

Yacht Club all the way!!!

One thing I did notice that would make a difference is the bus service. I recall on 2 different occasions that the bus filled up at the Yacht Club or Beach Club and then never went to the BoardWalk. I'm sure they called a bus directly to BW but still, better chances of seats from the YC.

The Yacht Club, IMO, seems more romantic. You can always enjoy the BW on a walk around the lake. The view of the BW is much prettier across the lake from the YC than vice versa (nighttime, speaking).

Remember, if you choose the YC, request on your reservation: garden view/lake side.

was for the Yacht Club. One reason is because it's my favorite resort. Another BIG reason - Stormalong Bay. You can't go wrong with the Epcot Resort area and if you're going to stay there why miss out on Stormalong Bay. I think both are great - but the rooms were just renovated at YC/BC and the CM's in our experience are second to none.

Did I mention Stormalong Bay?

Oh - and Beaches & Cream.

And Stormalong Bay.
