If I want to get to MK from BWI Next Wednesday (considering Thanksgiving crowds) how long will it take? I need to be at Guest Services when it opens at 8:30.

Thanks,
Pat

I would allow 45 minutes from the time you get to the BW bus stop....they usually share buses with several other Epcot resorts, however if they are running a BW only bus it might not take that long....but given the crowds I would still allow that long just to make sure.

I'm sorry to say that if you have to be at Guest Services at 8:30am you will be way behind everyone else going to the MK that day.
The best plan for any theme park at a busy time is to get there before opening. The Boardwalk shared with the Swan and Dolphin in June. I don't believe they ever have a dedicated bus so the additional stops add a little time to the trip.
You may want to consider either Epcot or the Disney Studios that day since you can walk or boat to either from the Boardwalk.

If it were me and it wer really important to be there by 8:30 am, I'd spring for a cab that morning. Ask the driver to take you to the Contemporary and drop you off as near to the walking path as he/she can. You'll be walking just a bit further than if you took the resort bus directly from the BWI/BWV.

Expect to pay $12 - $15 for the cab ride. Allow about 30 minutes total from the time you ask for the cab at the front entrance to arrival at GR at the MK.

Best wishes -
