BWI room location

We leave for the BWI Friday morning and have a standard room booked. Can anyone give me an idea of a location for a room to ask for? I am not that familiar with the layout of this resort. Also, how do I get to the pathway to walk to Epcot and MGM?

I'm sorry I can't help you with the room request (we stay at the BCV). To get to MGM walk out of the front of the resort and follow the path to the right past the swan along the canal up to MGM. It will take 10 minutes at the most. It took us 15 minutes from the BCV at the oposite side of the lake. We found it quicker to walk than take the friendship launch.

Thank you so much! What about the pathway to Epcot? Is it in the same area? Also, where do the pathways lead you to? The front of the parks???

My DH and I stayed there a few weeks ago and stayed in room 4285 (I booked a standard room but this may actually be a waterview room.) The room was right off the main elevator on the 4th floor and looked over the balcony off the main lobby as well as the front lawn/lake in the distance. We never heard any noise from outside although you could hear the elevator (but it didn't bother us.) We both liked the room and enjoyed the convinence to the elevator/lobby.

We had a great standard room when we stayed there (I don't have the number). We requested non-smoking, high floor, courtyard view. We had a room just a few rooms down for the elevator hallway that looked over the manicured courtyard and right toward Epcot. Our first night there, we watched Illuminations from our room balcony.

To get to the MGM walkway, we always took the doorway from the main lobby and cut through the main pool area of the resort to reach it. The Epcot walkway is out the doors from the main lobby and toward the waterway.
