We have stayed at bwi twice, non concierge. We loved the bwi. In October, we have a split stay at yc and cr, concierge level for both. After reading all of the great reviews of the bwi concierge, I am having thoughts about maybe trying to switch to bwi concierge. Anybody have any thoughts on this at all??? Any positives or negatives about each would be appreciated.

Have never stayed YC CL but stayed BWI CL in Feb. and it was fabulous! The CMs were absolutely wonderful, attentive to every detail. Even managed to snag us an Illuminations Cruise (with Jim for the driver) at the last minute. Took us on a tour of the "presidential suite," stocked a special wine request and made our girls trip generally perfect!!!! I would highly recommend BWI CL without hesitation! :flower:

ya know, I have to tell you, I read so much about concierge being so
awesome, but DH :smooth: and I do not really ever eat much, besides
the occasional bowl of cereal in the AM, or the nightly cookies, mini- donuts,
or cereal in the PM, in our rooms.. we may go all out on occasion and have
room service breakfast...but I cannot for the life of me justify spending
the extra $500 p/p (yes, your posts got me curious, I did check it out) for a week's vacation, just to have some danish, juice,
warmed over mini corndogs, and pb&j (blegch!), although the wine and
cordials part sounds nice...I'll walk my lazy butt downstairs to the lounge
for that!

kirbsam--as to your original question. We have not stayed at either, however, we are booked at the BWI cl for August because we too had heard such wonderful things about the lounge and the staff. The planning staff has been very helpful so far and we are very excited about our trip. I think in general the lounge is supposed to be nicer at the BWI, the fact that it's open all the time so you can pop in for a drink or whatever is appealing to us. That said, if you haven't stayed at the YC yet, I would be tempted to stay there just because I like trying all the different resorts. Good luck deciding, hopefully you will get some advice from someone who has stayed on the YC concierge level. :goodvibes

We stayed YC concierge this past December and personally, I wouldn't do it again. I was really not overly impressed with the lounge and just the overall setup. It was very small, with limited seating. They do offer a balcony, but it overlooks the parking lot. It's not an open concept design and they actually close the entire lounge between every meal serving and at night. That's one of the benefits for me in staying concierge, is that I use the lounge like a living room. I enjoy going in, reading the paper or spreading out my Disney information and looking over everything as I have a cold drink. It's just me, but I was disappointed with not having that option.

One the best things about the Epcot resorts concierge level is the staff of pre-planners that are assigned to you before you arrive. This group of ladies are the best by far. They are warm and friendly, truly understanding the magic of Disney.

I'm a visual person and I found some great pictures on this site, http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/lodging.asp. Click around on the various deluxe resorts and then on the right hand side, you'll see a link for 360 degree views and photos.

We just returned from three nights at the BW we loved the concierge, we did get a good rate, the staff was excellent they made all of our reservations, made suggestions and the offerings were great. It sure beats the concierge light at CR. Have Fun
