I just changed my reservation from BWI standard room to BWI concierge with an AP Rate. It was a little more $$, but I decided to do it anyway since we’ve never stayed concierge before. What can you all tell me about it? Where are the rooms located? Do they have balconies? Can you see Illuminations? How is the food?

Anything you can think of really

Thanks
Shelly

You will absolutely love BWI concierge! The CMs are amazing, the resort is beautiful, and the location is perfect. All of the rooms have balconies, but some balconies are smaller than others. Even the small balconies that the Deluxe Concierge rooms have are big enough for two people.

The food offerings are great:

Breakfast: donuts, pastries, muffins, toast, fruit, coffee, tea

Midday Snacks: dips, hummus, popcorn, pretzels, bottled water, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite

Afternoon Tea: tea, tea sandwiches

Wine and Cheese: hot appetizers, huge cheese and crudite platters, 2 whites, 2 reds, White Zinfidel

Desserts and Cordials: delicious desserts (tarts, tiramisu, etc.), any type of cordial you can imagine

You can request a room with an Epcot view to watch Illuminations. If so, you will not have a BoardWalk view. The balcony on the concierge lounge provides beautiful viewing of Illuminations. The rooms are located on a restricted 4th floor (though some are also on the 3rd). You must use your keycard to gain access. If you look at the outside of the BWI, the rooms are over Spoodles, BoardWalk Bakery and Flying Fish.

Any other questions, let me now! You'll have a wonderful time!

You have chosen to stay at my favorite place on property! The rooms are located on the 4th floor, with some deluxe rooms on the 3rd. The lounge is on the 4th florr. I have had room 4232, next to the lounge and a great view of Illuminations. This last trip I had room 4229, a deluxe room with a BW view. You will enjoy either view. The cast there is so wonderful and my main reason for returning here. The lounge is roomy and very relaxing. Jackie, Robin, Scott, Laura and Ilia to name a few are the best cast on property. Have fun and enjoy yourself!

Thank you both for the wonderful words of praise. I am so looking forward to this expirience. I hadn't discussed the change with DH so your posts helped to "soften" the blow about the extra $$. I can hardly wait.

We loved our stay at BWI Concierge! It was fabulous! The cm's are wonderful people who seem to really enjoy their jobs. The lounge is lovely and our room was very nice, very spacious (we had a deluxe room). I would definetly recommend BWI. I can't wait to get back their again!! :cloud9:

I was there a few weeks ago, had room 4255, overlooking the boardwalk, right about the candy store, the name escapes me right now, I think sweet shores. The room was a deluxe room. The day I was leaving I got to view Steeple chase suite, holy moly, I thought I was in heaven, now I need to win the lottery or find myself one rich guy, old and half dead. LOL

I too am excited to stay concierge at the Boardwalk. Per Kerrycm's advice, we have booked a deluxe room. That way we can be assured a Boardwalk view. We stayed here in Aug of 02 and absolutely LOVED it. We had a Boardwalk view on the 3rd floor, right next to the ESPN club. It was great!! Enjoy your stay!

KerryCM--how are you doing?? Hope everything is going well!
