bw view 2 br preference..vb 2br pref...?

hi everyone... very excited here.... an headed to boardwalk villas (guaranteed boardwalk view)at the end of july before a week at vero beach (2 bedroom villa both times)! am wondering... any special area to hope for or request for either of these scenarios??? we are hilton head, old key west and wilderness lodge savvy , but dont know our preferences yet or the popular opinion for these two dvcs. many thanks!

Asking for a specific room and getting it are slim but this may help you know if the room assigned at check-in will meet your needs. This will give you an idea of “sectional views”.

Since you already have a guaranteed Boardwalk view at the BWV, you're really all set - there isn't much of anything else to request other than your smoking preference. I suppose you could ask for close/far from the elevators or upper/lower floor, but IMHO, there really isn't much difference. All the BW views are special. Congrats on securing the Boardwalk view.

As far as VB goes, I'd request a view of the ocean and top floor. However, your smoking preference should be the first request, unless it doesn't matter to you. There aren't very many VB units that have a direct view of the ocean, but there are quite a few that have at least a partial view - you have to go out on the balcony and look to the side. I think all of the views at VB are nice, but my absolute favorite is the view at the top of the pool slide!

bumping up.... wondering by looking at the vb resort map do some of the 2 br's have a parking lot view????? if so, yuck, maybe im wrong..... hope so...thanks

Last I knew, MS wouldn't allow anyone booking VB to even request ocean view. Too many people were requesting it, not gettig it and then complaining.

The only thing they said they would take an ocean view request for were the actual ocean view inn rooms.

Can anyone confirm if this policy is still in place?

Also, I read on these boards the other day that if you want an ocean view you should ask for/book a 1br and a studio as they have more ocean views. I don't remember where I read this-I thought it was in someone's trip report.
